Molly Sweet and Wil Half Moon competition

Twelve Ospreys members turned out for this team event at Clywedog on Sunday 25th September. The lake was down by about 8-10 feet and the weather was reasonable with broken cloud and a light westerly breeze to start with which strengthened as the day wore on. Even with these conditions most anglers found it difficult to tempt fish and when it came to the weigh in 14 competitors had blanked .

Unfortunately we were beaten into second place by Llanidloes as the results show:

1st    Llanidloes  ‘B’    (Ken Llewellyn, Phil Baker, Graham Evans)          9 fish for 13lbs 14 ozs

2nd    Osprey  ‘B’       (Darren Williams, Bob Hemmings, Gary Lewis)    6 fish for 11lbs 8ozs

3rd    Osprey  ‘C’      (Alan Banwell, Alan Morris, Jac Sampson)               5 fish for 10lbs 1ozs

Half Moon Cup

1st    Llanidloes  ‘A’ & ‘B’ (Wynn Gwalchmai, Rob Davies, Peter Penlington, Ken Llewellyn, Phil Baker, Graham Evans)  with 16 fish for 23lbs 10ozs

2nd    Osprey  ‘A’ & ‘B’  (Ray Johnston, Ray Morgan, Tony Howells, Darren Williams, Bob Hemmings, Gary Lewis)  with 11 fish for 18lbs 8ozs

3rd    Osprey  ‘C’ & ‘D’ (Alan Banwell, Alan Morris, Jac Sampson, Wayne Cooksey, Steve Sampson, Gary Hook)   with 10 fish for 18lbs

The winner of the ‘Terry Fenton Cup’ for the best bag went to Graham Evans of Llanidloes with 6 fish for 9lbs
