4th Boat comp Llandegfedd Sunday 2nd October

With a late Indian summer and temperatures in the high 20s for the preceding days it was not going to be an easy days fishing, however 25 anglers returned 71 fish despite the warm conditions and flat calm for the last couple of hours. 1st was Ron Shephard with the only 6 fish limit bag for 8lbs 151/2 ozs showing that he still has what it takes when the going gets tough. 2nd was Brian Griffiths with 5 fish for 7lbs 61/4 ozs. 3rd was Darren Williams with 5 fish for 6lbs 11ozs and Jac Sampson was once again the winner of the Junior class with a remarkable 5 fish bag for 6lbs 83/4 ozs beating many of the more experienced anglers, well done Jac!
As this was the final boat competition of 2011 it emerged that Neal Anthony came out top, congratulations Neal, with Darren Williams a close second.
